6.0L Power Stroke FICM (Fuel Injection Control Module), complete

2003-2007 6.0L pickups + chassis cabs; E-Series 2004-2010 (all 4-pin). Ford reman 4C3Z-12B599-ABRM (newer service reman also seen as HC3Z-12B599-ARM). Two connector generations: an early 7-pin FICM (2003 and some early-2004 builds) and a later 4-pin FICM (2004-and-later builds and all E-Series); the exact build-date break is not cleanly published (vendor claims range from ~9/30/03 to the 2004.5 redesign) - count the connector pins before ordering; they are not interchangeable and test differently. FICM firmware/calibration is model-year and engine-calibration specific: a replacement or rebuilt module MUST be IDS-flashed to the vehicle's latest calibration (category:ficm-calibration-flash); the exact calibration ID is read from the VIN at flash time (IDS/FDRS) - no public per-year calibration table exists, and a static copy would go stale; what IS publicly documented is the per-era application table below. Aftermarket-era table (Alliant Power manufacturer pages, 2026-09-08): 2003-2004 era = Alliant AP65122N / AP65123N (Motorcraft reman FICM1RM / FICM2RM; Alliant ranges overlap on 2004 - the connector boundary lives inside MY2004, hence the pin-count check) and 2004.5-2007 + E-Series 2004-2010 = Alliant AP65124 / AP65124N (Motorcraft FICM3RM / FICM9). Ford re-man family per Alliant cross-reference: 4C3Z-12B599-AARM/-AB/-ABRM/-CRM/-DRM/-ERM and the newer HC3Z-12B599-ARM/-BRM/-CRM/-GRM/-HRM service remans. Navistar: 1837127, 1845177, 1887099. There is a Ford re-flash that exercises the injector spool valves during the glow-plug cycle to mitigate stiction with a marginal FICM. Weak batteries kill FICMs - verify battery health first.
